Survival’ is a painting of ‘Queenie’ who beat the odds and now lives a life of luxury.
Her ear shows the fate that so nearly ended her life. Saved from a trip to the works, she now acts as matriarch to a large herd of deer. Take a look in this paddock high on a hill and you’ll find fawn hiding in the long grass and Queenie with her herd, amongst the kauri trees.
